Vehicle-to-grid technology allows compatible electric vehicles to return stored electricity back to the power grid when needed. During periods of peak electricity demand, connected EVs could help stabilize the grid while providing financial benefits to participating owners.

GM also invited additional utility companies across the United States to participate in expanding vehicle-to-grid capabilities, recognizing that widespread collaboration will be necessary for successful implementation.

Simplifying the Public Charging Experience

To improve the ownership experience, GM introduced Energy Pass, a new platform designed to simplify public charging.

Additionally, GM expanded its collaboration with Redwood Materials to increase the use of second-life electric vehicle batteries in stationary energy storage systems.
