The SONG PLUS claimed the top spot among the most registered plug-in hybrid models last month. BYD SONG’s advanced DM-i super hybrid technology is ahead of its time, as it can switch between different usage modes. For short distances, it utilizes the electric system (for greater economy), while for long distances, it intelligently switches to hybrid mode, combining the thermal and electric motors, ensuring a range of over 1,000 kilometers.
In the overall total, BYD ranked as the third-largest automaker in terms of electric and hybrid vehicle registrations. With the boost in BYD sales, the market share of electrified vehicles also saw significant growth, reaching a historic mark of nearly 2.5% of the total registrations of light vehicles in the domestic market in August.
