Recently, at the “2024 Best Car Buying Guide” awards (Superguia Qual Compra) hosted by Brazil’s leading automotive media outlet, Autoesporte magazine, the GWM HAVAL H6 PHEV stood out among over 150 models across various classes and power types to win the “Best Hybrid Vehicle” award. It was also the only model in its category to receive a five-star recommendation. These awards are a crucial reference for car buyers in Brazil, offering detailed analyses to help consumers make informed decisions about purchasing and operating costs. The HAVAL H6 PHEV’s exceptional overall performance earned it the top spot in this year’s hybrid vehicle category.
“The HAVAL H6 PHEV combines excellent performance with energy efficiency and low maintenance costs, representing the future of sustainable transportation. We are very proud to receive this award, which also confirms the reputation of the GWM brand in the Brazilian automotive market, especially in the hybrid vehicle field,” emphasized Andre Leite, Marketing and Product Director of GWM Brazil.
In June, the HAVAL H6 HEV model also won the “Lowest Cost for Hybrid Vehicles” award from another respected automotive evaluation outlet, Quatro Rodas. This award is highly regarded in the Brazilian automotive industry, considering multiple factors affecting the total cost of vehicle ownership, including maintenance costs, fuel consumption, insurance premiums, car taxes, and depreciation rates. The HAVAL H6 HEV stood out for its excellent overall performance, particularly its low annual depreciation rate. Among all competitors in the hybrid vehicle category, it had the lowest depreciation rate and the least loss, demonstrating strong market performance and consumer trust. Daniel Conte, After-Sales Service Director of GWM Brazil, remarked, “The HAVAL H6 winning this award proves that GWM is committed not only to providing high-quality, high-tech products but also to offering excellent product value retention. We are very proud to see the HAVAL H6 HEV’s economy and durability being recognized, which is due to our genuine commitment to our customers.”
Strong product performance and after-sales support are essential for a new Chinese car brand to establish and grow in South America. Adhering to the service concept of “customer first,” the HAVAL H6 series, despite being in the Brazilian market for less than two years, has gained widespread recognition. From April 2023 to March 2024, the HAVAL H6 consistently held the top spot in hybrid vehicle sales. On June 12th, GWM introduced a new member to the Brazilian market: the front-wheel-drive version of the HAVAL H6 PHEV, providing more affordable choices and further consolidating GWM’s position as an innovative leader in the Brazilian new energy vehicle market.
As an innovative leader in the Brazilian new energy vehicle market, GWM is dedicated to taking root in Brazil, serving the local community, and providing better mobility solutions for consumers in Brazil, Latin America, and the world.
