VicOne Attains TISAX Level 3, Ensuring Top Data Security in Automotive Industry

VicOne, a leader in automotive cybersecurity solutions, has achieved TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange) Level 3 certification, ensuring the highest level of data protection and cybersecurity for car manufacturers and suppliers. TISAX, based on the ISO/IEC 27001 standard and tailored to the automotive sector, is defined by the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry). It ensures top-tier data protection, addressing the growing threat of cyberattacks, and is becoming the global standard for automotive manufacturers (OEMs).

This certification fosters cross-company recognition of information security assessments, signifying VicOne’s commitment to safeguarding sensitive data for OEMs and their partners.

Achieving TISAX Level 3 is a significant milestone for VicOne, building on its ASPICE CL2 certification, which ensures compliance with advanced operational processes, and the ISO/SAE 21434 certificate for comprehensive cybersecurity risk management in the automotive industry. The certification followed rigorous onsite assessments by SGS, an accredited auditor.

Stephen Pao, SGS Business Assurance Director, emphasized the importance of data security in the automotive industry, where vast amounts of confidential information are exchanged daily. “By earning TISAX Level 3 certification, VicOne is safeguarding sensitive data, ensuring integrity and availability in the manufacturing process,” he said.

Trend Micro CEO Eva Chen, who attended the certification ceremony, highlighted the evolving nature of software-defined vehicles and the role of technologies like generative AI in protecting data exchanges critical to the industry’s growth. “We’re proud of VicOne’s commitment to protecting the automotive ecosystem and supporting OEMs and suppliers,” she said.

Max Cheng, CEO of VicOne, added, “Achieving these certifications demonstrates our dedication to securing vehicle parts and components, enabling safe collaboration across the supply chain. We are strengthening the industry’s defenses against cyberattacks and protecting data and privacy for car manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.
