Cyclum Acquires ZEV TOUR to Accelerate Fleet Transition to Alternative Fuels

Cyclum, a pioneer in zero-carbon and near-zero carbon fuels and developer of next-generation travel centers, has announced the acquisition of ZEV TOUR – Clean Fleet Experience (ZEV TOUR), a renowned event production and alternative fuel fleet consultancy. This strategic move reinforces Cyclum’s commitment to accelerating the nationwide transition to cleaner, more sustainable transportation solutions for fleets.

Founded by industry veteran Ollie Danner, ZEV TOUR has spent over a decade spearheading events and initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers, dealers, and solution providers in the alternative fuel space. Under Danner’s leadership, ZEV TOUR has played a crucial role in hosting and managing more than 40 ride-and-drive events, educational conferences, and expositions across the United States. These initiatives were not only aimed at showcasing cutting-edge vehicle technologies but also at educating public and private fleets on the financial, regulatory, and environmental advantages of alternative fuel adoption.

“For the last 12 years, our goal at ZEV TOUR has been to connect fleets with the resources and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about cleaner fuels,” said Danner. “Whether it was helping them understand incentives, navigate regulations, or test-drive electric and hydrogen vehicles, we always strived to offer unbiased insights into both the challenges and benefits of these emerging technologies.”

ZEV TOUR events have spotlighted a diverse array of alternative fuel solutions, including battery-electric, hydrogen fuel cell, renewable diesel, compressed natural gas (CNG), and renewable natural gas (RNG) vehicles. These experiential activations gave fleet operators a rare opportunity to directly interact with technologies shaping the future of transportation—paving the way for meaningful adoption across sectors.

With the acquisition, Cyclum strengthens its holistic approach to supporting the commercial fleet industry’s energy evolution. The company is currently developing an ambitious national network of 400 state-of-the-art travel centers. These facilities will cater to traditional and alternative fueling needs alike, offering everything from gasoline and diesel to next-gen clean fuels such as hydrogen, renewable CNG, and electric vehicle (EV) charging.

More than just fueling hubs, Cyclum’s travel centers are being designed as comprehensive roadside destinations. Featuring modern rest stops with fresh food, advanced amenities, and best-in-class driver comforts, these centers aim to redefine expectations for both long-haul and regional transportation experiences.

A key outcome of the acquisition is Danner’s appointment as Cyclum’s new Director of Alternative Fuel Technology and Marketing. In this role, he will lead initiatives that help commercial and municipal fleets transition smoothly to a lower-emissions future. His wealth of experience in grant navigation, infrastructure deployment, and technology consultation will be central to Cyclum’s strategy moving forward.

“When I was first introduced to Cyclum’s vision, I immediately saw alignment with my own goals,” Danner explained. “Together, we now have the ability to deliver real, measurable cost savings to fleets—no matter their current fuel mix—while helping them transition to cleaner, more sustainable energy sources. Cyclum is in a unique position to offer a full spectrum of fuels: traditional, transitional, and renewable (TTR), providing critical flexibility as the industry evolves.”

Danner’s background includes extensive collaboration with leading EV infrastructure providers such as EVConnect, JuiceBox, ChargePoint, and Noodoe. Through these partnerships, he has overseen the deployment of hundreds of Level 2 (L2) and Direct Current Fast Charging (DCFC) stations. He has also played an instrumental role in multiple initiatives funded by the California Energy Commission (CEC), including projects to electrify major freight and passenger corridors like Highway 99 and Interstate 5.

In addition to corridor-based deployments, Danner has worked on projects to electrify school bus fleets—including infrastructure implementation for the Los Angeles Union School District—and supported the planning and installation of chargers for municipal and private fleets alike.

Beyond charging solutions, Danner brings deep insight into related technologies such as solar generation, battery storage, and grid-edge/off-grid energy systems. His expertise is expected to be invaluable as Cyclum integrates renewable energy strategies into its travel centers and fleet transition services.

“Education and outreach have always been cornerstones of my approach,” Danner said. “My mission has consistently been to serve as a connector—helping fleets, municipalities, and consumers find the right resources to adopt cleaner transportation technologies. With Cyclum’s infrastructure and vision, we now have the platform to do this at scale.”

Cyclum leadership is equally enthusiastic about the expanded capabilities this acquisition brings to the company. “We are thrilled to officially welcome ZEV TOUR into the Cyclum Renewables LLC family,” said Brian Profitt, CEO of Cyclum Renewables and Cyclum NextGen Travel Centers. “And more importantly, we’re excited to welcome Ollie Danner as our new Director of Alternative Fuels and Marketing.”

According to Profitt, the acquisition is about more than just integrating services—it’s about empowering fleets across the country to make the leap toward a cleaner future. “Ollie’s unmatched depth of knowledge, his track record in the industry, and his extensive network of contacts will help us scale our infrastructure and outreach efforts much faster. As we build our travel centers and expand our offerings, his expertise will be key to ensuring fleets get the support they need—whether they’re just starting the transition or are already well along the path.”

Cyclum’s nationwide rollout of travel centers is expected to play a pivotal role in meeting the growing energy demands of fleets seeking alternative fuel options. As emissions regulations tighten and sustainability goals become a top priority for fleet operators, Cyclum aims to be a one-stop destination for education, infrastructure, and fueling options that support diverse use cases.

Through this acquisition and new leadership role, Cyclum is positioning itself as not just a provider of fuel and services, but as a long-term partner for fleets navigating the complex shift toward sustainable mobility.

“Fleets need more than just fuel—they need guidance, technology, and flexibility,” Profitt added. “With the addition of ZEV TOUR and Ollie Danner, Cyclum is ready to deliver on all fronts.”

As the transportation sector enters a new era marked by electrification, decarbonization, and innovation, partnerships like this one between Cyclum and ZEV TOUR will be essential in driving real, practical progress—ensuring that fleets of all sizes have the tools and support they need to succeed in a rapidly changing landscape.
