Apple and Rivian have partnered to bring Apple Music’s premium Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos® to Rivian vehicles. Starting today, all Rivian drivers with an Apple Music subscription can access the platform’s extensive library of over 100 million songs and 30,000 playlists, as well as global live-streaming radio stations, directly through their vehicles via Connect+, Rivian’s streaming and connectivity subscription.
Rivian’s Second Generation vehicles offer an enhanced audio experience with Rivian Premium Audio, a sound system designed to fully support Apple Music’s Spatial Audio. This feature provides an immersive listening experience with greater depth and clarity.
“Spatial Audio has transformed how fans and artists experience music,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s VP of Apple Music and Beats. “We’re thrilled to integrate this technology into Rivian vehicles, offering drivers the premium audio experience that Apple Music provides.”
Wassym Bensaid, Rivian’s Chief Software Officer, highlighted the seamless audio experience achieved through their collaboration with Apple, enhancing the enjoyment of Rivian drivers on their journeys.
Apple Music’s Spatial Audio is now available in all Rivian vehicles through a software update. Rivian customers can access this feature by subscribing to Connect+, priced at $14.99 per month or $149.99 annually. New Rivian owners and Apple Music subscribers can also enjoy a two-month free trial of Connect+ and up to 90 days of Apple Music for free.
