Autel Energy’s CSMS Earns OCPP 2.0.1 Certification, Enhancing EV Charging Compatibility & Security

Autel Energy proudly announces the attainment of the OCPP 2.0.1 Certification from the Open Charge Alliance (OCA) for its Charging Station Management System (CSMS), underscoring its dedication to advancing EV charging solutions’ interoperability and security. This milestone reaffirms Autel Energy’s leadership in the EV charging industry.

OCPP 2.0.1, the latest iteration of the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) introduced by OCA in 2020, stands as the globally recognized standard for seamless communication between charging stations and management software. This protocol empowers utilities, Charge Point Operators (CPO), and EV owners with advanced smart charging capabilities and heightened control features. Autel Energy joins an elite group of 14 companies worldwide to achieve this prestigious certification.

Autel Energy’s CSMS has excelled in completing both the Core and Advanced Security profiles of OCPP 2.0.1, showcasing robust security measures and seamless interoperability. Moreover, Autel has finalized development for the remaining six profiles of OCPP 2.0.1, positioning itself for full certification upon the opening of the certification process by OCA.

The Autel EV Charging Software solution, comprising the CSMS and the charge app, caters to over 100,000 customers across 70 countries. Facilitating over 600,000 charging sessions monthly, it significantly contributes to reducing over 42 million kilograms of CO2 emissions.

By securing the OCPP 2.0.1 certification, Autel ensures heightened security through the implementation of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) Protocol, supporting mandatory encryption and authentication mechanisms. Standardized communication protocols guarantee efficient and reliable data transmission, with encryption preventing data leakage, tampering, and attacks. Two-way authentication between charging stations and cloud systems ensures trusted communication, thwarting unauthorized device access. The CSMS’s strong interoperability and system stability enable seamless integration of charging equipment from various manufacturers, ensuring broad compatibility, versatility, and high stability and reliability.

This achievement underscores Autel Energy’s leadership in technological innovation and industry protocols, bolstering customer trust, market competitiveness, and reaffirming its commitment to delivering high-quality, secure, and interoperable charging solutions.
