Carvana, a pioneer in the online buying and selling of used cars, has unveiled plans to integrate an auction and reconditioning ‘Megasite’ in Las Vegas. This strategic move will see Carvana establish Inspection and Reconditioning Center (IRC) capabilities at the existing ADESA Las Vegas wholesale auction site while continuing all digital and in-lane auction operations. The Las Vegas location will serve as a cornerstone for Carvana’s retail and wholesale operations in the region, enhancing offerings for both customer segments. This marks the third ADESA wholesale auction site to transform into a Carvana auction-IRC Megasite. Carvana is already in the process of hiring new IRC associates for this facility and anticipates that the transition will generate approximately 200 new entry-level and skilled jobs in the area over time.

Located in North Las Vegas near the intersection of Gowan Road and Losee Road, close to the I-15 highway, ADESA Las Vegas has served thousands of customers in the area for 14 years. The site spans approximately 46 acres and includes over 5,000 parking spaces, providing ample room for Carvana’s inspection and reconditioning activities while maintaining existing online and in-lane wholesale auction operations.
By adding IRC capabilities to ADESA Las Vegas, Carvana significantly increases its reconditioning capacity, enhancing vehicle selection for all customers. This initiative will create a pool of retail inventory in a new metropolitan area, improving the efficiency of Carvana’s reconditioning and fulfillment network and granting local retail customers access to more vehicles that can be delivered as soon as the same or the next day.
The efficient transition of ADESA Las Vegas into an auction-IRC Megasite will be supported by the site’s extensive existing footprint and infrastructure, along with the adoption of Carvana’s proprietary CARLI software, which facilitates efficiency, scalability, and consistency across its IRC network.
