Cyclic Materials, a pioneering recycling company dedicated to creating a circular supply chain for rare earth elements (REEs) and other critical materials, has announced an expansion of its partnership with VACUUMSCHMELZE (VAC), a global leader in magnetic materials and solutions. Under the terms of the new agreement, the two companies have signed a 10-year exclusive deal for the recycling of 100 percent of magnet production byproducts, also known as swarf, generated at VAC’s forthcoming state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sumter, South Carolina. The facility, slated to begin operations by the end of 2025, will serve as a cornerstone for VAC’s efforts to modernize magnet production while integrating circular economy principles.
