Faraday Future Secures First B2B Pre-Order for FX Super One, Signaling Major Step in U.S. EV Market Strategy
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI), a California-based electric mobility company focused on redefining transportation through advanced intelligent electric vehicles (AIEVs), has announced a significant milestone in its global growth strategy. The company has signed its first binding business-to-business (B2B) pre-order agreement for 1,000 units of its highly anticipated FX model, the Super One multi-purpose vehicle (MPV).
This landmark agreement includes both a non-binding reservation and a binding component featuring a non-refundable deposit. It was secured through a deal with 129 Auto Sales Corp., doing business as JC Auto, a New York City-based automotive dealership. JC Auto has committed a $100,000 non-refundable deposit, which will be applied toward the purchase of FX vehicles. In return, the dealership will receive priority delivery of up to 300 FX Super One MPVs, contingent on an additional payment to be made later.
The remaining 700 units are reserved under a non-binding agreement, allowing JC Auto flexibility to acquire more vehicles as part of future fleet expansions or retail sales to end users. This agreement is not just a commercial win for Faraday Future (FF); it also represents a validation of the FX model’s appeal and the company’s broader U.S. market strategy, particularly in what FF identifies as the “four blue ocean markets” within the American AIEV landscape.
JC Auto to Launch Premium FX-Based Fleet in New York
JC Auto plans to utilize the initial 300 FX Super One vehicles to create a premium fleet in the New York metropolitan area. The company aims to deploy these vehicles in high-end transportation services, including Uber Black, luxury hotel shuttle programs, and VIP airport transfers. This aligns with the FX Super One’s positioning as a First Class AI MPV that blends cutting-edge technology with luxury and space, making it a compelling option for high-value mobility services.
With a strong background in vehicle leasing and retail sales, JC Auto is well-positioned to introduce the FX Super One to a broad range of clientele. The dealership will also act as a co-creation partner, collaborating with FF to refine the vehicle’s features, services, and overall experience. By engaging directly with users and industry partners, FF aims to create a user ecosystem that helps each FX vehicle become a high-demand product in its segment.
A Strategic Breakthrough in FF’s North American Expansion
The agreement marks a pivotal advancement in FF’s U.S. expansion plans and underscores the company’s progress in penetrating the premium electric MPV market. While First Class MPVs have become immensely popular among celebrities, business leaders, and affluent families across Asia—including China and Hong Kong—this market segment remains largely untapped in the United States.
The FX Super One is designed to change that. Positioned as a first-of-its-kind AI MPV in the U.S., the vehicle is poised to deliver an experience that goes beyond traditional luxury SUVs and MPVs. With its blend of artificial intelligence, spacious design, and comfort-focused features, the FX Super One will appeal to both commercial buyers and high-end consumers seeking something new and differentiated.
Competitive Edge Over Traditional Luxury Vehicles
Faraday Future is positioning the FX Super One as a disruptive alternative to well-known premium models like the Cadillac Escalade. Unlike conventional luxury SUVs, the FX Super One is engineered as a purpose-built electric MPV with a focus on intelligent features and sustainability. It offers superior passenger comfort, quieter performance, and digital enhancements designed to elevate the in-vehicle experience.
The FX Super One’s advanced AI integration enables features such as personalized in-cabin settings, smart navigation, predictive maintenance alerts, and real-time connectivity. The vehicle is expected to resonate strongly with users looking for a high-tech, luxury travel solution—especially in urban markets like New York where performance, space, and comfort are essential.
Future-Proof Powertrain with AIHER Technology
Faraday Future also plans to introduce an optional extended-range powertrain to complement the all-electric version of the FX Super One. The proprietary technology, known as AIHER (Artificial Intelligence Hybrid Extended Range), is currently in development. Unlike conventional hybrid systems that alternate between electric and internal combustion power, AIHER is primarily range-extended with secondary hybrid-drive capabilities.
This system is designed to eliminate some of the common limitations seen in traditional hybrid and plug-in hybrid setups. FF believes AIHER will be particularly well-suited to environments with extreme climates, such as the cold winters experienced on the U.S. East Coast, providing extended usability without compromising on performance or efficiency.
FX Super One: Luxury Meets Sustainability
Production of the FX Super One is expected to commence by the end of 2025. The vehicle will be offered as an affordable yet premium AIEV that features a carefully designed, high-end interior. With an emphasis on passenger wellbeing, the FX Super One includes reclining leather seats, ambient LED lighting, large touchscreens, and immersive entertainment systems.
The electric powertrain offers quiet operation, reduced emissions, and impressive fuel efficiency—aligning FF’s vision of sustainability with consumer demand for luxury and innovation. These attributes are expected to drive strong adoption once the vehicle is made available for commercial and retail use.
Strong Sales Projections and Product Pipeline
Faraday Future is targeting sales of tens of thousands of FX vehicles within two years of production launch, assuming the necessary funding and strategic agreements are in place. The company also plans to introduce additional models under the FX brand umbrella. Development is already underway for the second and third FX variants, expanding the lineup to address a wider range of customer segments and use cases.
These models are intended to capture key opportunities across what FF defines as “blue ocean” segments in the U.S. AIEV market. These include:
- Range-extended electric vehicles
- Intelligent vehicles reimagined as mobile living spaces
- Mass-market AIEVs priced between $20,000 and $40,000
- Advanced AI integration across all models
Leadership and Vision for the Future
The appointment of company founder YT Jia as Co-Global CEO reflects a strategic commitment to visionary leadership and accelerated technological development. Under Jia’s guidance, Faraday Future is doubling down on AI-centric innovation and expanding its efforts to position itself as a category-defining EV manufacturer.
“We see this first B2B reservation as a major indicator of product-market fit,” said Jia. “The FX Super One is a uniquely designed AI MPV that addresses a clear gap in the U.S. market. Our partnership with JC Auto gives us strong confidence as we work toward production and eventual delivery. We’re energized by the support and excitement and will push hard to bring these vehicles to the road by the end of this year.”
A Dealer’s Perspective: Excitement and Opportunity
Michael Wang, General Manager of JC Auto, echoed Jia’s enthusiasm: “After experiencing FF and FX vehicles at the company’s Los Angeles headquarters, we were immediately impressed. The FX Super One MPV combines affordability with a premium user experience—exactly what our customers are looking for in the evolving luxury EV market. We’re proud to be among the first to offer this vehicle in New York and excited to build a lasting partnership with Faraday Future.
