Geely Auto Unveils Electrified Products at Automechanika Frankfurt

Geely Auto, a leading global automaker, made a notable impact at Automechanika Frankfurt, unveiling its latest electrified products aimed at international markets. The event, which opened on September 10, featured participants from 175 countries, highlighting Geely’s global ambitions.

Victor Yang, Senior Vice President of Geely Holding Group, expressed the company’s vision: “Geely inspires individuals to ‘See the World in Full’. We’re not just making cars but elevating the mobility experience.” He introduced the EX5, making its global debut at the event, emphasizing Geely’s dedication to expanding into markets like Norway, Australia, Thailand, and Indonesia. Built on Geely Electric Architecture (GEA), the EX5 is designed for the global market, meeting the requirements of 89 countries with both left-hand and right-hand drive options. The EX5 offers more space, superior driving dynamics, and an enhanced ride, positioning it as a leader in the world’s largest EV market.

In addition to the EX5, Geely showcased two other models—the E8 and Xingyuan—that drew significant attention. The E8, a flagship pure electric sedan, features the world’s first mass-produced integrated luminous front face with patented “micro hole laser engraving” technology. The E8 has garnered multiple design awards, including the 2024 A’ Design Award Platinum and Red Dot Award, cementing its status in global design excellence. The Xingyuan, an A0-class pure electric small SUV, offers rear-wheel drive and a range of up to 410 km, expanding Geely’s high-value electrified lineup.

Geely’s presentation in Frankfurt underscores its rapid global expansion and commitment to the new energy vehicle market. In the first half of the year, Geely launched 12 high-value products across 30 overseas markets, including the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe. Geely is transitioning from exporting to global collaboration, aiming to provide cutting-edge, high-quality electrified products that support worldwide ambitions for rapid electrification.
