Great Wall Motor Company Limited (GWM) released its sales data for August 2024, showing impressive growth in its overseas market. In August, GWM sold 40,454 vehicles abroad, a year-on-year increase of 31.60%, setting a new record for monthly overseas sales. From January to August, the company sold 280,139 vehicles overseas, marking a 54.20% increase compared to the previous year.
GWM’s success stems from its long-term strategy of maintaining business integrity while promoting quality manufacturing. The company continues to expand globally through its “global ecosystem” approach, achieving both volume and quality growth. GWM now serves over 14 million global users, with more than 1.6 million vehicles sold overseas and over 1,300 international sales channels, reflecting the success of its international expansion.
This sales boost is supported by GWM’s accelerated overseas expansion. In August, the company held a regional brand launch in Montevideo, Uruguay, showcasing the HAVAL, ORA, TANK, and POER brands to highlight its product strength and commitment to the South American market. In Brazil, the HAVAL H6 and ORA 03 won three awards in the “Best Buy” competition by Quatro Rodas. The TANK 300 and WEY 07 also stood out at the Interlagos Motor Show, where GWM unveiled the ORA 03 GT limited edition, co-branded with local fashion brand Approve.
