Kempower Expands Presence in Germany with Düsseldorf Handover

Kempower Establishes German Office in Düsseldorf to Strengthen European Expansion and Training Capabilities

Kempower, a global leader in DC fast charging technology for electric vehicles (EVs), is deepening its footprint in the European market with the establishment of a new office and training facility in Düsseldorf, Germany. This strategic move not only solidifies the company’s growing presence in the German-speaking (DACH) region but also extends its ability to provide cutting-edge training and support to partners across Europe.

The newly inaugurated Düsseldorf office is located on the state-of-the-art EUREF-Campus Düsseldorf, an innovative urban district designed to support forward-looking companies in the fields of energy, mobility, and sustainability. Situated near Düsseldorf Airport and at the heart of the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) mobility hub, the office provides excellent logistical access for Kempower’s growing network of partners and customers in Germany and neighboring countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

A Strategic Anchor in the German Market

The Düsseldorf facility represents a key milestone in Kempower’s European expansion strategy. Germany, as the largest economy in Europe and a major hub for the automotive industry, plays a critical role in the global transition to electric mobility. Kempower’s new office is designed not only to support operations in this high-potential market but also to act as a regional training center, enhancing knowledge-sharing and technical collaboration with local stakeholders.

“Düsseldorf is an excellent location for establishing our first office in Germany. With the EUREF-Campus as our location, we benefit from an inspiring, sustainable environment that specifically promotes innovation in the areas of energy, mobility, and climate protection,” said Jens Conrad, Head of Sales DACH at Kempower. “This gives us an even stronger foothold in the strategically important DACH market. We look forward to accelerating the transition to a cleaner and calmer planet together.”

The move is aligned with Kempower’s broader goal of driving EV adoption by ensuring that reliable, user-friendly, and scalable charging infrastructure is readily available. Germany’s well-developed transportation networks and commitment to electrification make it an ideal location for Kempower’s continued growth and product deployment.

A Hub for Training and Collaboration

Beyond serving as an operational base, the Düsseldorf office will function as a comprehensive training center for Kempower’s European partners. This represents a significant step in the company’s efforts to decentralize its training resources, which until now have been primarily concentrated at its headquarters in Finland.

By expanding training services to Germany, Kempower aims to reduce travel requirements for partners and make technical education more accessible. This will empower installers, service providers, and partners across Western and Central Europe to more effectively implement, maintain, and troubleshoot Kempower’s high-performance charging solutions.

The training center will offer hands-on learning experiences, access to product demonstrations, and tailored workshops on installation, commissioning, software integration, and customer support. Kempower’s training programs are known for their practicality and alignment with real-world applications—an approach that is critical in helping accelerate the rollout of charging infrastructure across diverse market segments.

Designed for Functionality and Flexibility

The Düsseldorf office has been designed with both functionality and employee well-being in mind. Kempower collaborated with the Tholl Group, a local design firm, to create an interior that reflects the company’s Scandinavian roots and brand identity. The workspace features natural materials, clean lines, and a color scheme centered on Kempower’s signature black and orange palette. The result is a welcoming and modern environment that fosters creativity, collaboration, and productivity.

One of the standout features of the office is its spacious rooftop terrace, which offers a flexible area for relaxation, informal meetings, or even outdoor work sessions. This amenity enhances the work-life balance of employees and encourages open dialogue in an inspiring setting—further reinforcing Kempower’s people-first corporate culture.

The premises are being initially opened for Kempower’s current German team but have been designed with scalability in mind. As the company’s operations grow in Germany and the surrounding region, the office has the capacity to accommodate additional staff and expand its functions without the need for immediate relocation.

Supporting a Hybrid Work Culture

Kempower continues to embrace a hybrid working model at the Düsseldorf office, just as it does at other locations across Europe. This approach allows employees to maintain a flexible work-life balance while remaining connected to the company’s collaborative culture.

The hybrid model supports a mix of in-office and remote work, giving employees the autonomy to choose where they are most productive. This flexibility is particularly valuable in today’s fast-paced tech environment, where agility, innovation, and rapid decision-making are essential for staying ahead in the EV charging industry.

A Pan-European Growth Strategy

Kempower’s expansion into Germany is part of a larger strategy to build a strong and distributed presence across Europe. The company already operates offices and branches in Sweden, Norway, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands, in addition to its headquarters in Finland.

Each location is strategically selected to ensure proximity to key markets, automotive industry hubs, and innovation ecosystems. The addition of Germany to this network further strengthens Kempower’s ability to serve customers across the continent with speed, efficiency, and local expertise.

The move also positions Kempower to play an active role in supporting Germany’s national goals for electrification and emissions reduction. With the German government setting ambitious targets for EV adoption and the expansion of charging infrastructure, there is a growing demand for fast, reliable, and scalable charging solutions—precisely the kind of systems Kempower specializes in delivering.

Driving a Cleaner and Smarter Future

Kempower’s mission is to power a cleaner and smarter world through advanced EV charging technologies that prioritize user experience, system reliability, and grid compatibility. The Düsseldorf office is a tangible expression of this mission, serving as both a strategic outpost and a collaborative space that brings together innovation, training, and customer engagement under one roof.

As Kempower continues to grow its European operations, the Düsseldorf facility will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with key stakeholders, enabling seamless deployment of charging infrastructure, and empowering partners through education and hands-on support.

With the foundation now laid in Germany, Kempower is well-positioned to help shape the future of electric mobility across Europe—accelerating the shift toward a sustainable, connected, and emissions-free transportation ecosystem.
