Mahindra Powerol Named India’s No.1 Genset Manufacturer for FY25 by Frost & Sullivan

Mahindra Powerol, a division of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., has achieved a significant industry milestone by becoming the leading diesel genset manufacturer in India for FY25. According to the latest DG Tracker report released by Frost & Sullivan, Mahindra Powerol secured the No. 1 position in the Indian genset market by volume, commanding a 23.8% market share and surpassing the long-standing market leader.

The Indian diesel genset industry recorded total sales of 1,51,634 units in FY25. Mahindra Powerol’s contribution to this figure—driven by consistent quarterly performance—marks a pivotal point in the company’s growth journey.

Key to this success was the strong performance of Mahindra Powerol’s CPCB IV+ compliant gensets, engineered to meet the latest emission standards. The company also maintained its leadership in the Telecom sector, where it has consistently held over 55% market share for the past 15 years. Additionally, strategic expansion into the highly competitive Retail segment further fueled Mahindra Powerol’s upward momentum.

Commenting on this achievement, Sanjay Jain, Senior Vice President and Business Head at Mahindra Powerol, said:
“Being recognised as India’s top genset manufacturer reflects our relentless focus on innovation, reliability, and customer satisfaction. Our continued dominance in the Telecom sector, growth in Retail, and early adoption of CPCB IV+ norms have all been instrumental in reaching this milestone. We are deeply grateful to our partners, customers, and employees across India for their unwavering support. Mahindra Powerol remains committed to delivering efficient, future-ready power solutions that contribute to India’s development.”

This landmark achievement further solidifies Mahindra Powerol’s reputation as a trusted provider of dependable power solutions, reinforcing its position as an industry leader committed to sustainable growth and technological excellence.
