Nissan has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, achieving a remarkable ascent of seven positions in the 2024 J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality StudySM (IQS). This year’s findings show Nissan Motor Co. advancing from 13th to 6th place overall in the automotive industry for initial quality. Notably, the Nissan Murano once again secured the top position in the Midsize SUV category for initial quality.

Vinay Shahani, senior vice president of U.S. Marketing and Sales for Nissan Americas, expressed gratitude for the recognition: “We are honored that J.D. Power has acknowledged our dedication to delivering exceptional quality for our customers. Continuous improvement is central to our ethos, and customer feedback plays a pivotal role in guiding enhancements across all stages—from design and engineering to manufacturing, logistics, sales, and aftersales.”

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study evaluates vehicle quality based on feedback from owners and lessees within the first 90 days of ownership.
