Boston-based Pure Lithium Corporation, an innovative leader in lithium metal battery technology, is set to conduct a roadshow in New York during the week of November 18, 2024. The roadshow will introduce its upcoming Series B fundraising, targeting $75 million to $100 million in the first quarter of 2025. These funds aim to advance Pure Lithium’s commercial production efforts and support a potential IPO.
Pure Lithium’s technology centers on lithium metal, widely considered a breakthrough in energy storage. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries, Pure Lithium’s solution avoids using graphite, nickel, cobalt, and manganese, reducing reliance on Chinese-sourced materials and enabling the establishment of regional battery production hubs.
Since opening its Boston lab in January 2021, Pure Lithium has achieved significant milestones, including:
- Intellectual Property: Securing nearly 100 patents and patent applications across lithium extraction and battery production.
- Optimal Cathode Development: Developing and patenting vanadium oxide-based cathodes, including a joint patent with Nobel Laureate Professor Sir Stanley Whittingham.
- Battery Cycling: Achieving world-leading cycle data with over 1,300 cycles at commercial charge rates, indicating readiness for large-scale production.
- Manufacturing Agreement: Nearing a partnership with a multinational company to expand production of Pure Lithium’s solid-state lithium-selective membrane.
- Lithium Supply Agreement: Partnering with E3 Lithium Inc. to source lithium from Alberta’s oil field brines, securing material sufficient for approximately 80 million EVs.
- Asset Acquisition: Acquiring Dimien Inc., bolstering its expertise in vanadium-based cathode technology.
Pure Lithium aims to pioneer next-generation lithium metal batteries, offering safer, longer-lasting, and more sustainable alternatives to traditional lithium-ion batteries, all sourced and manufactured within North America.
Investors and potential partners are invited to schedule meetings with Pure Lithium’s leadership team, including Founder and CEO Emilie Bodoin, Chief Scientific Officer Donald R. Sadoway, and Director Bill Weld. To secure a meeting, please contact Emily Merkel at [email protected].
