Quectel Expands GNSS Lineup with Four New Antennas

Quectel Expands GNSS Portfolio with Four New Antennas, Advanced Modules, and Global RTK Services

Quectel Wireless Solutions, a leading global provider of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has significantly expanded its positioning product lineup with the launch of four new GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) antennas. These additions strengthen Quectel’s role as a full-spectrum supplier of positioning solutions, bringing together high-performance antennas, advanced GNSS modules, global RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) correction services, and comprehensive design support.

The new products include:

  • YFGD000AA – a high-precision, low-profile antenna covering all GNSS bands.
  • YFGD000BA – optimized for triple-band positioning in L1, L2, and L5.
  • YFGN000H1AC – a lightweight, high-precision, all-band antenna with strong signal sensitivity.
  • YEGT010W1AM – a compact, general-purpose antenna designed for non-precision applications.

Together, these antennas expand developer choice and enhance the versatility of GNSS applications across industries such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, agriculture, surveying, logistics, and smart mobility.

Antennas Designed for Precision and Performance

The standout among the new introductions, the YFGD000AA, is engineered for mission-critical use cases. With support for L1, L2, L5, L6, and L-Band frequencies (1164–1300 MHz and 1525–1606 MHz), it enables ultra-precise positioning even in demanding conditions. Measuring 78.6 x 75.6 x 16.2 mm, and built with a rugged screw mount, it is suitable for both vehicle-mounted and stationary installations. The antenna operates in temperatures ranging from -40 °C to +85 °C and complies with RoHS, REACH, and POPs standards.

Target applications include autonomous driving platforms, geodetic surveying equipment, and advanced navigation systems, where accuracy, durability, and signal sensitivity are paramount.

The YFGD000BA shares the same dimensions and rugged design but is optimized specifically for L1, L2, and L5 bands (1164–1238 MHz and 1559–1606 MHz). This makes it a cost-effective choice for applications requiring precision without the need for full multi-band coverage. Like its all-band counterpart, it is compliant with stringent industry standards and can support RTK-based centimeter-level accuracy.

The YFGN000H1AC takes antenna performance even further, combining all-band coverage with a lightweight 62 g profile. Its gain of 35 ±4 dB and low noise figure (≤ 4 dB) make it particularly effective in weak-signal environments such as dense urban areas or under foliage, where maintaining positioning accuracy is traditionally challenging. With a 122 mm diameter and 22.5 mm height, the screw-mounted antenna is versatile and suitable for vehicle integration or fixed installations. Customers also have the option to request custom enclosures, allowing the antenna to transition seamlessly from internal to external use cases.

Rounding out the new lineup, the YEGT010W1AM provides a compact, practical solution for non-precision applications. This rubber external antenna has a 10.22 mm diameter, 69.5 mm height, and weighs just 8.9 g. With an SMA male connector and omnidirectional, linear polarization, it is ideal for general-purpose GNSS reception where exact centimeter-level accuracy is not required. Its terminal mount design makes it easy to install on gateways, routers, or tracking devices, while its universal joint design allows adjustment of polarization direction. This feature helps overcome angle sensitivity challenges often seen in linearly polarized antennas.

Powering Antennas with Advanced GNSS Modules

Quectel’s antenna lineup is complemented by its growing family of high-performance GNSS modules, designed to provide scalable precision across a range of applications.

  • The LC29H dual-band module strikes a balance between affordability and accuracy. Built for cost-sensitive deployments, it supports precision-critical use cases like telematics and asset tracking.
  • The LG290P industrial-grade module delivers centimeter-level accuracy with RTK fix times under five seconds, making it an attractive option for industrial automation, construction, and smart agriculture.
  • The flagship LG580P module adds L6 support and dual-antenna heading capabilities, catering to advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), robotics, and autonomous navigation platforms where orientation and fast positioning updates are essential.

Together, these modules ensure seamless integration with Quectel’s new antennas, enabling developers to select the right combination of hardware based on accuracy needs, cost considerations, and deployment environments.

Global RTK Correction Services: Accuracy Without Borders

A key differentiator for Quectel’s GNSS ecosystem is its global RTK correction service. Leveraging a network of more than 21,000 base stations worldwide, the service enables consistent centimeter-level accuracy across continents, including Asia, Europe, and North America.

This infrastructure makes it possible to scale precision positioning to cross-border logistics, global agriculture fleets, autonomous vehicles, and multinational IoT deployments, without the risk of regional performance gaps. For industries seeking to combine reliability with scalability, Quectel’s global RTK coverage provides a major advantage.

Developer-Centric Approach

Speaking on the launch, David Wei, Senior Product Director of Quectel’s Antenna Product Department, emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering developers and engineers with flexible solutions.

Our aim is to provide engineers, developers, and device designers with maximized choices so they can create optimized designs for the next wave of GNSS devices,” Wei noted. “With these new antennas, we now cover GNSS systems, frequency bands, form factors, operating temperature ranges, and compliance needs. Combined with our GNSS RTK modules, correction services, and antenna design support, Quectel truly offers a one-stop option for GNSS solutions.”

To further support customers, Quectel offers custom antenna design services that include simulation, prototyping, and testing, ensuring that device makers can tailor solutions to their specific application requirements. The company’s global R&D footprint ensures rapid response times and localized support, helping developers accelerate time-to-market while minimizing integration risks.

Ecosystem Integration and Industry Applications

The introduction of these four antennas highlights Quectel’s strategy of building a complete GNSS ecosystem. By tightly integrating antennas, modules, correction services, and design expertise, the company reduces complexity for developers and enables innovation across multiple verticals.

  • Automotive and ADAS: Dual-antenna heading and centimeter-level accuracy power next-generation driver-assist systems and autonomous driving features.
  • Agriculture: RTK precision supports autonomous tractors, crop monitoring, and field optimization.
