Renesas Announces Executive Leadership Shift

Renesas Announces Major Leadership Restructuring to Advance Long-Term Strategy and Strengthen Global Execution

Renesas Electronics Corporation (TSE: 6723), a leading global supplier of advanced semiconductor solutions, has announced a comprehensive series of leadership changes designed to support the company’s long-term strategic transformation and accelerate progress toward its “2035 Aspiration.” These organizational updates, effective beginning January 1, 2026, reflect Renesas’ commitment to strengthening operational agility, enhancing customer engagement, and aligning its product and technology roadmap with emerging opportunities in embedded systems, connectivity, and next-generation computing.

As part of the restructuring, five senior leaders—Gaurang Shah, Peter Jenkins, Stephen Limoges, Ivo Marocco, and Balaji Kanigicherla—will join the Renesas Enterprise Leadership Team (ELT). All newly appointed executives will report directly to President and CEO Hidetoshi Shibata, underscoring the strategic importance of their new mandates within the company’s evolving global structure.

Gaurang Shah Appointed Vice President and General Manager of Embedded Processing

Effective January 1, 2026, Renesas has appointed Gaurang Shah as Vice President and General Manager of Embedded Processing. Shah succeeds Davin Lee, who has been serving as Senior Vice President and General Manager of both the Analog & Connectivity and Embedded Processing product groups.

A significant part of this transition is the strategic decision to integrate Renesas’ Connectivity Solutions team into the Embedded Processing Product Group. This move consolidates the company’s embedded processing and connectivity capabilities under a single organizational umbrella, enabling tighter alignment of hardware, firmware, and connectivity technologies. This integration is intended to accelerate development timelines, deliver more cohesive solutions, and simplify the experience for customers navigating Renesas’ broad product portfolio.

Shah previously served as Vice President and Chief of Staff of the Power Product Group, where he played an important role in product strategy, operations, and cross-functional execution. In his new position, Shah will oversee Renesas’ global catalog of embedded processing and connectivity products, shaping the roadmap for microcontrollers, microprocessors, wireless solutions, and related software ecosystems. His mandate includes driving operational efficiency, ensuring faster execution, and strengthening Renesas’ competitiveness in key growth markets such as industrial automation, IoT, and AI-enabled edge devices.

Peter Jenkins Appointed Vice President and General Manager of Analog & Mixed Signal

In parallel with the Connectivity Solutions team’s transition, the Analog & Connectivity Product Group will be renamed the Analog & Mixed Signal Product Group. Renesas has appointed Peter Jenkins, currently Vice President of Standard Products within the same group, as Vice President and General Manager of the newly redefined business unit.

This change will also become effective January 1, 2026.

Jenkins brings extensive experience in analog and mixed-signal product development, commercialization, and global product strategy. His leadership will be instrumental as Renesas strengthens its analog portfolio to support applications ranging from power management and signal conditioning to sensor interfaces and precision analog components. These technologies are foundational for automotive, industrial, communication, and consumer applications worldwide.

Jenkins succeeds Davin Lee, who will step down from his Senior Vice President role at the end of December 2025. Lee joined Renesas in 2021 through the Dialog acquisition and has made significant contributions to expanding the company’s analog and connectivity capabilities. Earlier in 2025, he played a key role in establishing the foundation for ongoing growth in both the Analog & Connectivity and Embedded Processing business lines. Renesas acknowledges Lee’s leadership and his role in driving customer-focused innovation.

Stephen Limoges Appointed Vice President and Chief Sales Officer (CSO)

Renesas has named Stephen Limoges as its new Vice President and Chief Sales Officer (CSO), also effective January 1, 2026. Limoges will assume responsibility for the company’s global sales organization, replacing Yuya Hasegawa, who will step down from his CSO role on December 31, 2025.

Limoges most recently served as Vice President of Centralized Sales, Global Strategy and Execution. In that role, he was responsible for shaping and harmonizing Renesas’ sales strategy across regions and markets. Under his leadership, the company strengthened its global go-to-market alignment and built greater consistency across customer engagement initiatives.

As the new CSO, Limoges will oversee global sales operations with an emphasis on driving revenue growth through deeper customer relationships, expanded market penetration, and enhanced execution of Renesas’ digitalization strategies. His responsibilities will include advancing Renesas’ sales transformation, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and capturing growth opportunities in emerging areas such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and autonomous systems.

Since joining Renesas in 2020 as Vice President of Japan Sales, Hasegawa expanded his influence to oversee Global Regional Sales and significantly contributed to the company’s international growth trajectory. Renesas expresses appreciation for his contributions during a pivotal period of expansion.

Ivo Marocco Appointed Vice President and Head of UX

Renesas will reorganize its Strategic Initiatives & UX Group, narrowing its focus exclusively to user experience (UX) and renaming it the UX Group. Effective January 1, 2026, Ivo Marocco—currently Vice President of Solutions within the Strategic Initiatives & UX Group—will become Vice President and Head of UX.

Marocco will lead Renesas’ global UX strategy, with a mandate to strengthen early customer engagement, streamline the adoption of Renesas technologies, and help ensure product roadmaps reflect real-world customer needs. His expanded remit includes integrating multiple technologies into cohesive solution offerings and driving revenue through customer-centric, high-impact design initiatives.

He succeeds Julie Pope, Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Initiatives and UX, who will step down on December 31, 2025. Pope previously served as Chief Human Resources Officer, where she played a transformative role in the evolution of Renesas’ HR and General Affairs structures. She has been instrumental in globalizing HR systems and driving a company-wide cultural shift in recent years.

Engineering Leadership Transition: Balaji Kanigicherla to Become CTO

Another major leadership transition involves Renesas’ engineering organization. Shinichi Yoshioka, Vice President of Engineering and Co-Chief Technology Officer (CTO), will leave the company at the end of December 2025 after nearly four decades of service. Yoshioka’s leadership spans multiple eras of Renesas’ evolution, including pivotal contributions to the automotive and mobile business units and the broader engineering organization. His technological expertise has been central to advancing Renesas’ global competitiveness.

Effective January 1, 2026, Balaji Kanigicherla will take on full responsibility as Vice President, Head of Engineering and CTO. With deep experience in semiconductor engineering, architecture development, and high-performance product creation, Kanigicherla will guide Renesas’ technology vision, R&D strategy, and long-term engineering roadmap. He will also join the Enterprise Leadership Team.
