Barrett-Jackson, renowned as The World’s Greatest Collector Car Auctions, is preparing for an extraordinary 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, which will feature an eclectic lineup led by rock ’n’ roll legend Sammy Hagar’s one-of-a-kind 2015 LaFerrari. The 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction, presented by Gila River Resorts & Casinos, will take place from October 10-13, 2024, at WestWorld of Scottsdale. Hagar’s Ferrari will be auctioned on Saturday, October 12.
Initially scheduled for the Barrett-Jackson January Scottsdale Auction, the car was held back because its original high-voltage battery was nearing the end of its 8-year lifespan. The vehicle was retained to install a new battery, a service performed by Ferrari of San Francisco. You can watch a video of Sammy Hagar discussing the new battery installation here.
“The decision to hold Sammy’s LaFerrari for our Fall Auction in Scottsdale was the right one, ensuring it’s a truly immaculate supercar for the next owner,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson. “Sammy is one of the most celebrated rock stars of our generation and isn’t letting off the gas. In April, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and he just kicked off ‘The Best of All Worlds Tour.’ His LaFerrari is an extension of his ‘go fast lifestyle,’ and we’re honored to make it the centerpiece of our second Scottsdale auction this year. It’s truly an epic way to close out 2024.”
The Ferrari LaFerrari, introduced in 2013, quickly became an icon of Italian automotive excellence, blending stunning aesthetics with cutting-edge technology and exceptional performance. With its hybrid powertrain and Formula-1-inspired features, the LaFerrari is one of the most sought-after vehicles in the world.
Custom finishes chosen by Hagar adorn this LaFerrari, featuring an elegant cream exterior reminiscent of a 1960s Ferrari Hagar saw during a visit to the Maranello factory in 2014. Carbon-fiber and black accents enhance its visual appeal, capturing the essence of Italian automotive artistry.
Included with the sale is a special replica model of the vehicle, a gift from Ferrari, along with a book detailing the build process and a display plaque signed by Hagar from the vehicle’s display at the Quail during Monterey Car Week.
“I’m so excited that my LaFerrari, the most beautiful one on the planet, is headed back to Scottsdale this fall,” said Hagar. “This car has a new high-voltage battery straight from the factory, so it’s even better than the original. It’s going to be an extra-rocking time because it’s crossing the block on October 12, the day before my birthday. In fact, the winning bidder had better bring a passport, because I’m taking you to Cabo to help celebrate my birthday on October 13. This is going to be a wild ride and I can’t wait to see everyone there.
