Stellantis Philanthropy Marks Education Day with Community Focus

Stellantis Philanthropy Marks the International Day of Education with Renewed Commitment to Community Partnerships

In observance of the International Day of Education on January 24, Stellantis is reaffirming its global dedication to advancing education and strengthening community partnerships around the world. Through its philanthropic initiatives, the Company continues to position education as a cornerstone of its social impact strategy, supporting learning opportunities that empower individuals, strengthen communities, and prepare future generations for a rapidly evolving world.

Over the past two years, Stellantis has co-developed more than 130 education-focused projects in collaboration with trusted nonprofit partners. These initiatives are expected to positively impact more than 2 million students, educators, and community members globally by the end of 2026. This progress reflects a deliberate approach rooted in long-term partnerships with local, regional, and international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) whose on-the-ground expertise ensures programs are tailored to real community needs.

Stellantis Philanthropy operates on a community-driven model that emphasizes relevance, accountability, and measurable outcomes. The Company works closely with more than 100 nonprofit organizations worldwide and actively involves its employees in the design and implementation of education programs. This collaborative framework allows Stellantis to address diverse challenges, from access to basic education and literacy to advanced STEM learning and vocational training.

The Company’s philanthropic strategy focuses on three core pillars: long-term educational priorities, locally inspired community initiatives, and responsive disaster relief efforts. By aligning these elements, Stellantis ensures its education programs remain flexible yet focused, creating sustainable impact in the regions where it operates.

To strengthen global coordination and visibility, Stellantis Philanthropy has unified its community engagement efforts under a single framework that brings together the Stellantis Motor Citizens volunteer program and the Stellantis Student Awards. This integrated approach reinforces the Company’s belief that education extends beyond classrooms, encompassing mentorship, skill-building, and community involvement.

“Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to support the communities where we operate,” said Stellantis Chairman John Elkann. “By working hand in hand with our partners and our employees, we are expanding access to learning opportunities for young people around the world, particularly in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, which are critical for future innovation.”

Xavier Chéreau, Stellantis Chief Human Resources and Sustainability Officer, emphasized the importance of collaboration and local insight in driving meaningful impact. “Bringing our actions together under Stellantis Philanthropy reinforces our long-term commitment to education and community development, he said. “We are proud to work alongside partners with deep local roots, and we remain committed to helping students build the skills, confidence, and resilience they need to shape their own futures.”

The scale and diversity of Stellantis’ educational impact can be seen across its global regions.

In North America, Stellantis supports more than 30 education projects across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. These initiatives focus on literacy development, STEM education, digital skill-building, and support for school-age children. Collectively, the programs aim to reach approximately 1 million beneficiaries by 2026, helping learners gain essential skills for academic success and future careers.

Across Enlarged Europe, more than 50 initiatives are active in nine countries, with a combined goal of reaching over 800,000 people. Programs address a wide range of needs, including inclusive education, STEM engagement, environmental awareness, digital literacy, vocational training, and the creation of autism-inclusive learning environments. These efforts reflect Stellantis’ commitment to fostering equitable access to education across diverse communities.

In South America, Stellantis has launched over 10 programs in Argentina and Brazil that are expected to support approximately 250,000 students by 2026. These initiatives focus on improving school retention rates, strengthening academic performance, expanding STEM education, supporting teachers, and creating pathways to employment through job-oriented training.

The Company’s work in the Middle East and Africa includes more than 10 initiatives across Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and South Africa. These programs, expected to reach over 2,600 learners, focus on empowering girls through education, building digital and entrepreneurial skills, providing technical training, and expanding access to technology in rural and underserved areas.

In the India and Asia Pacific region, Stellantis supports more than 10 projects in India and Malaysia. Together, these initiatives aim to benefit around 190,000 people by 2026. Key focus areas include advanced vocational training, school-based STEM programs, road safety education, and environmental learning pathways that combine sustainability with science and technology education.

Beyond structured programs, Stellantis employees play a vital role in community engagement through Motor Citizens, the Company’s global volunteer initiative. Since its launch in 2021, participation has steadily increased as more teams and countries join the program. In 2025 alone, Motor Citizens recorded more than a 25% increase in both volunteer hours and participation, reflecting growing employee commitment to giving back through hands-on community involvement.

Stellantis also continues to celebrate academic achievement through the Stellantis Student Awards, which recognize the educational accomplishments of students from Stellantis families worldwide. In 2025, more than 800 students received awards, representing an increase of over 25% compared to the previous year. Since the program’s inception in 1996, nearly 17,000 students have been honored, underscoring Stellantis’ longstanding support for lifelong learning.

Through these combined efforts, Stellantis Philanthropy continues to demonstrate that education is not only a social responsibility, but a powerful driver of opportunity, inclusion, and long-term community resilience.
