pSemi® Corporation, a leading innovator in semiconductor integration and advanced connectivity under Murata, has announced its participation at the 2024 International Microwave Symposium (IMS), scheduled for June 16–21, 2024, in Washington D.C. At IMS, pSemi will showcase a range of cutting-edge solutions at booth #1351, including a significant highlight: a turnkey sub-6 GHz radio frequency front end (RFFE) reference design developed in collaboration with AMD and Murata.
This groundbreaking platform integrates pSemi’s PE42446 HaRP™ SP4T RF switch, PE53231 dual-channel switch LNA module, and PE43712 RF digital step attenuator (DSA), together with AMD’s Adaptive Radio SoC and Zynq™ UltraScale+™ RFSoC DFE. The result is exceptional RX performance with 400 MHz aggregated bandwidth, setting new standards for 5G RF wireless infrastructure systems.
“We’re thrilled to showcase our latest RFFE reference design at IMS,” said Rodd Novak, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at pSemi. “This collaboration not only raises the bar for industry benchmarks but also expedites our customers’ time to market while optimizing costs.”
Anthony Collins, Director of 5G Radio and RF Ecosystem at AMD, added, “These reference designs are pivotal in accelerating our mutual customers’ speed to market. We’re pleased to collaborate with pSemi on showcasing the superior performance of this RFFE reference design alongside Zynq UltraScale+ RFSoC DFE integrated transceivers.”
Additionally, pSemi will present other advanced solutions at IMS:
- An ultra-high voltage RF switch tailored for broadband RF applications, boasting industry-leading peak voltage handling and versatile configuration options.
- An n104 band RFFE reference design incorporating the highly integrated PE44951 phase shifter with DSA.
- A 2.4 GHz IoT connectivity solution featuring the pSemi PE562212 fully integrated front-end module (FEM) paired with a Nordic SoC development board.
- Two ultra-wideband (UWB) solutions, PE423211 and PE42545, catering to diverse applications with their broad frequency coverage and low-power consumption.
- pSemi’s mmWave beamforming solutions, PE128310 and PE188210, designed for FR2 integrated system applications.
- An antenna reference design integrated with beamformer and up-down converter (UDC)/mixer for mmWave applications.
In addition to showcasing these innovations, pSemi executives will participate in key speaking engagements during IMS, addressing critical topics in microwave design innovation.
“We’re looking forward to another exciting IMS, where we’ll demonstrate our industry-leading solutions and engage with attendees on the forefront of microwave technology,” Novak concluded. “Visit booth #1351 to experience our demonstrations firsthand and join our speaking sessions to explore the latest advancements in RF technology.
