Wolfspeed, a global leader in silicon carbide technology, announced the nominations of Thomas Seifert and Woody Young to its Board of Directors. Shareholders will vote on these nominations at the 2024 Annual Meeting, scheduled for December 5, 2024.
Thomas Seifert has been the Chief Financial Officer of Cloudflare, Inc., a prominent internet security firm, since June 2017. He previously held key leadership roles at technology and semiconductor companies, including as CFO of Symantec Corporation, Brightstar Corp., and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. Seifert also serves on the Board of First Derivatives plc, a high-performance analytics software company.
Woody Young most recently served as President and Board member of Solidigm, a flash memory semiconductor company, from October 2022 to August 2023. With over 30 years of experience in investment banking, Young was the former Chairman of Mergers and Acquisitions at Perella Weinberg Partners LP. He also held senior positions in telecommunications, media, and technology at Lazard, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers. Young currently serves on the Board of Frontier Communications Parent, Inc.

He highlighted Wolfspeed’s recent progress with the CHIPS Act capital structure, noting that Seifert and Young’s expertise will aid in executing the company’s business plan and enhancing shareholder value.
Clyde R. Hosein and John B. Replogle, long-time Board members, will retire after the 2024 Annual Meeting. Werner expressed gratitude for their years of dedicated service to Wolfspeed.
