Lyft and Mobileye Partner to Scale Autonomous Mobility Solutions

Mobileye will supply its advanced AV technology to vehicle manufacturers, creating purpose-built, AV-ready vehicles designed for fleet operators and transportation service providers. By integrating with Lyft’s platform, which serves 40 million riders annually, the partnership will facilitate the deployment of Mobileye Drive™-equipped AV fleets on Lyft’s network, making autonomous rides more accessible across North America.

The alliance aims to allow future AV operators to procure Mobileye Drive-equipped, “Lyft-ready” vehicles from manufacturers, access Lyft’s extensive rider base, and optimize the efficiency and profitability of their fleets. Mobileye’s cloud-based AV demand technology will connect these vehicles with AV fleet operators, while Lyft’s AV Partner APIs will enhance fleet monetization, giving riders greater access to AVs.

“Mobileye’s full-stack technology is integral to making autonomous fleets Lyft-ready,” said David Risher, Lyft’s CEO. “As we bring more AVs to our platform, we’re dedicated to creating a system where fleet owners can maximize their assets. We are excited to partner with Mobileye to pave the way for an autonomous future.”

Prof. Amnon Shashua, Mobileye’s President and CEO, echoed this vision, emphasizing the partnership’s role in extending autonomous mobility services. “Integrating Mobileye Drive with Lyft’s network of 40 million riders in North America offers AV customers expanded market opportunities and a sustainable business model for autonomous technology.”

The collaboration is a major milestone in Mobileye’s mission to bring autonomous mobility to global markets. Already, Mobileye Drive-equipped vehicles are part of various mobility-as-a-service pilots across Europe and North America.

Mobileye, known for its pioneering work in AI, computer vision, and integrated hardware/software solutions, supports a scalable product portfolio ranging from premium ADAS to fully autonomous vehicles. By late 2023, approximately 180 million vehicles worldwide were equipped with Mobileye technology. Following its 2022 listing as an independent entity, Mobileye continues to innovate and expand its role in the evolution of autonomous mobility. For more details, visit Mobileye’s website.
