Sims Cale Unveils AI-Enhanced Simulation Tools for Automotive Design

Sims Cale GmbH has introduced a suite of upgrades to its cloud-native simulation platform, aimed at advancing real-time, simulation-driven design for the automotive industry. Sims Cale’s platform is used by manufacturers, suppliers, and OEMs to accelerate product development, reduce R&D costs, and foster innovation. The platform offers a range of analysis tools, including mechanical, thermal, CFD, and electromagnetics simulations.

Key new features include:

  • AI Integration: Enhanced AI-driven simulation capabilities, enabling faster design convergence by leveraging data from simulations for AI training and inference.
  • Electromagnetics: Improved solvers for electrostatic analysis, time-harmonic magnetics, and nonlinear material behavior.
  • Electronics: Upgrades to the Conjugate Heat Transfer (CHT) solver, including better temperature-dependent material properties and 3D heat flux modeling.
  • Structural Analysis: Enhancements for pin connectors, harmonic analysis damping, and increased disk storage for complex simulations.
  • Enterprise Collaboration: New team management tools for easier deployment across global engineering teams.

Jon Wilde, VP of Product Management at SimScale, said, “These enhancements enable next-gen engineering techniques made possible through cloud-native platforms, streamlining AI, generative design, and optimization workflows.”

SimScale also announced reaching over 600,000 users globally, reflecting a shift toward simulation-driven design as traditional barriers like hardware limitations fade.

The new features will be unveiled at the IAA Transportation Trade Fair in Hannover, Germany, from September 17-22. SimScale CEO David Heiny will present on AI-powered cloud simulation for automotive design on September 20th.

Sims Cale is the first fully cloud-native SaaS platform for high-fidelity physics simulations, offering CFD, FEA, and electromagnetics analysis to users worldwide.
