Amogy, a leader in ammonia-to-power solutions, HD Hyundai Infracore Co. (HDI), and SK Innovation Co. (SKI) have entered a strategic partnership to develop a distributed power generation system that leverages their combined technologies. The system will integrate HDI’s HX22 hydrogen engine with Amogy’s advanced ammonia cracking technology, which efficiently converts ammonia into hydrogen using durable catalyst materials at lower reaction temperatures. This partnership aims to create a cost-effective ammonia-to-power solution, advancing decarbonization in South Korea’s power market.
The companies will explore the commercial viability of this integrated system, aligning with South Korea’s Clean Hydrogen Portfolio Standard (CHPS) to promote hydrogen and ammonia-based power generation.
